On June 29th, 2008, NicoNico Douga user TAKE (Takemoto) began posting a video series named “Making My Friend Play My Mario Hack.” It showcased the attempts of the author’s “friend,” Kiba, to play his fiendishly difficult ROM hack of Super Mario World. (Apply the patch to an unaltered English Super Mario World ROM, not the Japanese hack.)
